    "The simple recipe below is the one of the best because the results are light, crisp waffles very much like those served at the New York World's Fair in 1963,"

    4 eggs, separated
    3 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 cup milk



    Recipe



    Beat egg yolks and mix with melted butter and vanilla. Add flour, salt and milk; beat well. Beat egg whites until stiff, then fold into batter. Makes about four 7 by 7 waffles
