7-Minute Frosting
List of Ingredients
3 each egg whites
1 1/4 cups sugar
5 tablespoons cold water
1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
Bring water to simmering in the bottom of a double boiler.
In the top of a double boiler, combine egg whites (at room temperature),sugar and water.
Place on double boiler and begin mixing with an electric mixer for about 7 minutes. Do not allow it to cook too much or the icing will be very hard.
Add vanilla at the end and stir.
Let cool slightly and ice the cakes.
