    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup chopped pecans, divided
    2 cups sugar
    1/2 cup margarine
    1/2 cup white corn syrup
    2 cups evaporated milk divided

    Recipe



    Butter an 8x8 inch pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the pecans. Combine sugar, margarine and corn syrup in a heavy saucepan. Stir in 1 cup evaporated milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add remaining milk slowly so mixture continues to boil. Cook, stirring frequently, until candy thermometer measures 244 degrees, about 1 1/2 hours. Pour into pan; sprinkle with remaining pecans. Cool and cut into squares. Wrap individually in plastic wrap. Yields 36 squares.
