1 to 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
1 package egg noodles
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 small can mushrooms, drained
1 Tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper
Recipe
Prepare noodles according to directions.
Drain well and set aside.
In heavy frying pan, brown ground beef.
When done, drain and rinse in hot water to remove excess grease. Set aside.
In same pan, saut� onion in butter until transparent; add mushrooms and cook together, stirring well, for one minute over low heat.
Add beef to onions and mushrooms, stir well, then add cream of mushroom soup and a half-can of water.
Simmer over low heat for another minute.
Season with garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste.
To serve: ladle Stroganoff over hot noodles and serve with a side salad and fresh bread.
