    4 pounds spareribs, cut in serving-sized pieces
    Salt and pepper, to taste
    1/2 cup apple cider
    1/4 cup bourbon whiskey

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sprinkle ribs on all sides with salt and pepper. In shallow roasting pan, arrange rib in a single layer, bone side down. Bake for 1 hour; pour off all fat in the pan.

    In a small bowl, blend cider and whiskey; drizzle or brush over spareribs.
    Return to oven; continue baking for about 30 minutes, basting occasionally with pan drippings, until ribs are fork-tender and well browned. Makes 2 to
    3 servings.
