    Microwave Pecan Brittle

    List of Ingredients





    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup corn syrup
    1 cup pecans
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 teaspoon baking soda

    Recipe



    Combine sugar and corn syrup in a 40-ounce glass measuring cup or container.
    Microwave on High (100 percent power) for 4 minutes. Stir in pecans.
    Microwave an additional 5 minutes on High.

    Stir in butter and vanilla, and microwave on High for 1 minute. Stir in
    baking soda until foamy. Immediately spread on well-greased baking sheet.
    When cool, break into pieces. Makes 6 servings.

    Note: Times are for an 800-watt microwave. Reduce time or power for those
    with more wattage, and increase time for lower wattage.
