List of Ingredients
2 large cucumbers, sliced1/8-inch thick (about 2 cups)
1 medium onion, sliced in thin rounds (about 3/4 cup)
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/4 teaspoon celery seeds
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
Recipe
Mix all ingredients in a 2 or 2 1/2 quart bowl. Cover and microwave on high for three minutes. Remove and stir. Repeat this procedure twice more for a total of nine minutes. By this time, the cucumbers will be crisp and onions translucent. Rinse a quart jar with hot water to prevent cracking and ladle pickles into the jar. Cool, cover and refrigerate.
