1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons cider vinegar or other fruit vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 small shallot, minced
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
Salt and ground black papper to taste
Recipe
In a small bowl, whisk together the first six ingredients, or shake in a jar with a tight-fitting lid until smooth.
Taste and adjust seasonings.
Use immediately or cover and refrigerate.
Makes about 2/3 cup.
This dressing is an old favorite for salads that combine greens and fruit.
