    Makes 1 cup sauce

    List of Ingredients




    2 Tbs. butter
    1/4 cup shallots
    1/4 cup white wine
    1 can (14.5 oz) College Inn® Chicken Broth with Lemon and Herb
    1 Tbs. lemon juice
    zest of 1 lemon ( 1 tsp.)
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    ¾ cup heavy cream
    dash of white pepper

    Recipe



    In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter, add shallots and sauté 2 minutes. Add wine and cook until almost evaporated, about 1 minute more. Stir in broth, lemon juice and zest, and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer until reduced in half, about 15 minutes. Stir in cream, bring to a boil and simmer until sauce thickens. Season with white pepper and serve hot.

    Sauce – Serve with grilled chicken or salmon.
    Serve with orzo.

    Prep: 10 minutes
    Cook time: 25 – 30 minutes
