Tomato gravy
List of Ingredients
Drippings from 1/2 lb bacon or about 3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons flour
1 can crushed tomatoes or chopped tomatoes
1/2 can water
Recipe
Heat oil on high, add flour; you must stay with it at this point. Brown
flour to golden brown; water and cook on high for about 5 minutes; stirring all the time. Add the can of tomatoes, Turn heat to med and cook till they thicken like you like. Add lots salt and pepper.
If for some reason you have lumps do not fear; take off heat and beat with wisk; adding little water. Return to heat and finish cooking.
