Chicken tortilla soup
List of Ingredients
8 cups chicken broth
1 yellow onion, chopped
4 to 5 pieces boneless chicken, diced
1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
2 (15-ounce) cans tomato puree
1 (10-ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilies
1 cup salsa
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 (1- to 11/4-ounce) package taco seasoning mix
Corn tortilla chips, crushed
Shredded cheddar cheese
Recipe
Place chicken broth, onion and chicken in a saucepan; heat to a boil, reduce
heat and cook until chicken is fully cooked and onions are tender. Add
remaining ingredients, except chips and cheese, and simmer until heated
through and flavors blend.
Ladle soup into serving bowls and top each with crushed chips and cheese.
