    Cabbage with Bacon

    1 large head of cabbage, chopped
    10 slices of bacon
    2 large onions, chopped
    Salt to taste
    Ground black pepper to taste

    Recipe




    Place bacon in large fry pan. Fry until crispy. Remove bacon.
    Saute onion in bacon drippings until clear. Add bacon to onions.
    Add cabbage and mix until cabbage is covered with drippings. Cook on
    high-medium until cabbage is tender.
    I like my vegetables a little crunchy. I add very little salt because of
    the salt content in the bacon. I have also at different times added
    celery seeds or sour cream after the cabbage is cooked.
