Aunt Loretta gave this recipe to grandmother. I found it in grandmother's recipe book when she passed away in 1983.





List of Ingredients



• 1 cup hot water
  
• 1 package yeast
  
• 1/2 cup sugar
  
• 1 cup shortening
  
• 4 cups flour
  
• 1 egg
  






Instructions



1. Dissolve yeast in hot water
   
2. Add remaining ingredients and mix well
   
3. Work till dough is soft
   
4. Drop in greased pan
   
5. Bake til brown
