List of Ingredients
- 1-1/2 pints 3-4 inch okra pods
- 3 Tablespoons bacon drippings
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 3 medium tomatoes
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Put bacon drippings into skillet, add the onions. Slice the okra directly into the skillet on top of the onions. Cover and simmer until onion is soft. Slide okra and onion to one side of skillet; place the tomatoes in other half of skillet and continue to simmer, covered, until okra is tender. Then fold tomatoes and okra together gently. Season to taste and serve immediately.

Serve over white rice
