    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pie crust (9-inch)
    • 1-1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
    • 2/3 cup butter, softened
    • 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 1 cup currants, dried
    • 3/4 cup nuts, chopped
    • whipped cream


    Instructions


    1. Prepare pie crust, refrigerate until ready to fill
    2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
    3. In bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed beat sugar and butter until creamy
    4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each additon
    5. Stir in vanilla, currants and nuts
    6. Turn into unbaked pie shell
    7. Bake 40-50 minutes or just until filling is set in the center
    8. Shake pie gently, center should be firm
    9. Let cool on wire rack
