Hash Brown Potato Casserole

Recipe Introduction
This recipe dates back 20+ years in our family. There are never any leftovers when this is served.
List of Ingredients
- (1) - 2 pound bag Frozen Hash Brown Potatoes
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1/4 Tablespoon pepper
- 1 Tablespoon salt, optional
- (1) - 8 ounce jar sour cream
- (1) - 8 ounce jar Cheez Whiz
- crackers, crushed, optional
Instructions
- Mix cans of soup and cheez whiz in saucepan over low to medium heat.
- In baking dish, mix hash browns, chopped onions, soup and cheez mixture, with melted butter, pepper and salt.
- Top with crushed crackers(optional), just enough to cover lightly.
- Bake at 350 degrees until mixture in bubbling all over.
Final Comments
Note:
Can use any kind of cream soups, margarine can be used instead of butter.
This is best when served HOT!
