    List of Ingredients




    Topping:
    2 T. sugar
    1 t. cinnamon
    2 c. red grapes, cut in 1/2

    Cake:
    3/4 c. whole wheat flour (if not available use more regular flour)
    3/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 t. baking powder
    1/2 t. baking soda
    1/2 t. cinnamon
    1 c. & 1 T. applesauce (unsweetened preferred)
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 egg whites or 1 1/2 egg sub equiv.
    2 t. vanilla extract

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Spray a 9-inch cake pan.

    Combine topping ingredients, except grapes, in a bowl and set aside.

    Combine cake ingredients as follows: in a large bowl combine flours, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon. Mix well.

    In a different bowl combine remaining cake ingredients. Beat until blended. Add to dry mixture, mix until moistened. Spoon into pan.

    Sprinkle 2 t. of the sugar & cinnamon topping mixture over cake. Spread grapes over pan. Press down gently into batter. Top with remaining sugar & cinnamon.

    Bake 35 to 40 minutes until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
