All-in-One Rice and Beans

Serves: 6
List of Ingredients
1 cup brown or white rice, uncooked
2 1/2 cups water
1 1 pound can cream-style corn
1 1 pound can kidney beans, rinsed and drained (or 2 cups of cooked beans)
1 8 oz. can salt-free (or regular) tomato sauce
1/3 c. thinly sliced green onions (green and white parts)
1 1/2 t. dried basil
1/8 to 1/4 t. pepperRecipe
Cook rice according to directions.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Lightly oil or spray a 2 quart casserole.
In a large bowl, combine cooked rice with remaining ingredients. Mix well. Spoon into prepared casserole.
Bake, covered, 30 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
