    Drop Cheese Biscuits

    This recipe comes from the cookbook...Company's Coming for Christmas by Jean Pare.
    "Light and flaky texture. So easy and quick to make."


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups all purpose flour
    • 4 tsp baking powder
    • 3/4 tsp salt
    • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 1/2 cups grated sharp Cheddar cheese


    Instructions


    1. Measure flour, baking powder and salt into medium bowl.
    2. Cut in butter until crumbly.
    3. Add water and cheese. Stir to moisten.
    4. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheet.
    5. Bake in 425 degree F oven for about 15 minutes.
    6. Makes 16 biscuits.
