4 Lb Ripe Tomatoes
2 Tsp Chopped Fresh Thyme
Juice Of 1-1/2 Lemons
1 Tsp Salt
1/2 Cup Sugar
pinch of ground cloves

Cut up the tomatoes. In a large enamel or stainless steel kettle, combine
the tomatoes and thyme. Heat them to a boil and cook gently until soft.
Put the cooked tomatoes through a food millto remove the bulky pulp. Put
the mix through a large strainer to remove all seeds and pulp. Add the
lemon juice, salt, sugar andcloves. Chill before serving.
