3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 1/2 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 sticks butter
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Recipe
Cream butter and margarine. Add sugar and beat until
smooth. Add 1 egg at a time while beating until mixed well.
Sift flour and baking powder; add to batter while alternately
adding 1 cup of milk. Add vanilla and lemon extract afterwards
and mix all ingredients well. Pour in floured Bundt pan and
cook at 325 degrees until done.
For lemon pound cake, use 2 teaspoons lemon extract, no
vanilla.
