    1/4 pound butter, softened
    1/2 cup white sugar
    1/2 cup light brown sugar
    1 large egg, beaten
    1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    1 1/2 cups flour
    1/2 cup coarsely grated chocolate
    1 cup corn flakes

    Recipe



    Cream butter and sugar together. Blend in beaten egg. Blend in flour 1/2 cup at a time. Add soda dissolved in a tablespoon hot water.
    Add nuts, grated chocolate, and corn flakes.
    Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 375-degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from sheet and cool on cake rack.
