- 1/2 pound round steak, trimmed
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove,minced
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 can stewed tomatoes
- 1 medium green pepper,cut into rings
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Hot cooked noodles
Instructions
- Cut meat into 2inch strips; brown in a skillet in oil for 10 min. Add onion and garlic;cook for 3-4 min.
- Dissolve bouillon water; pour into skillet. Sprinkle meat with pepper.
- Cover and simmer for 35-40 min or until meat is tender. Add tomatoes and green pepper; cover and simmer for 10 min. Combine cold water,cornstarch and soy sauce;stir into broth.
- Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 min. Serve over noodles.
