- 1 roasting chicken (6-7 pounds)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
- 1 tbsp hot pepper sauce,such as tabasco
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350. Place chicken on rack in roasting pan; sprinkle with paprika and salt.
- Roast until meat thermometer inserted reads 180. for about 2 hours and 30 min.
- Meanwhile in small bowl combine butter,hot pepper sauce,vinegar,garlic powder and cayenne;brush over chicken several times during last 20 min. of cooking time.
- Let chicken stand 10 min. before serving.
