    o 1 cup butter
    o 2 cups brown sugar
    o 1/2 cup light corn syrup
    o 6 quarts popped popcorn
    o 1 tsp. salt
    o 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    o 1 tsp. vanilla

    8. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    9. Boil without stirring for five minutes. Remove from heat; stir in baking soda and vanilla.
    10. Gradually pour over the popped corn, mixing well.
    11. Turn mixture into two large baking or roasting pans.
    12. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes.
    13. Remove from oven, cool completely. Break apart and store in a tightly covered container.
    14. Makes about 5 quarts.
