List of Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Butter or Margarine
- 1 Onion, Chopped
- 4 Cups Sliced Mushrooms
- 1/4 Cup All-purpose flour
- 3 Cups Chicken Stock
- 1 Bay leaf
- Pinch Dried Thyme
- 1/3 Cup 2% Evaporated Milk
- 1/4 Cup Sliced green onions
Instructions
- In a large heavey saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; cook onion, stirring often, for 3 minutes. Add mushrooms; cook for about 5 minutes or until tender and juicy. Sprinkle with flour;cook, stirring ,for 1 minute or until juice is absorbed.
- Stir in chicken stock,bay leaf and thyme until blended. Bring ot boil; reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Stir in milk;return to simmer. Discard bay leaf. Ladle into warmed bowls;sprinkle with green onions.
