Dressing (Southern Style)

List of Ingredients
- 2 Large onions, chopped
- 1 Stick (1/2 cup) butter
- 2 Ribs celery, chopped
- 5 Eggs
- 3 Tablespoons dried sage (or 2 tablespoons powdered)
- 1 Tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 Teaspoon salt
- 1 Teaspoon pepper
- Turkey broth (or chicken broth)
- 1 Pan cornbread, cooked, crumbled then toasted
- 1/2 Loaf white bread, crumbled then toasted
Instructions
- In a skillet, saute onions and celery in butter until tender. Boil three eggs until hard cooked, cool and peel. Add onions, celery, boiled eggs, 2 raw eggs, sage, vinegar, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Add enough broth and stir (I use my hands) until mixture looks almost as moist as cake batter, solid (not runny).
- Pour into a greased/floured 9 1/2 x 13 pan. Bake at 375 degrees pre-heated oven for 45 minutes.
