3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 Tbs sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
5 Tbs shortening
1 cup warm water
1 cup buttermilk
1 yeast cake
Recipe
Add dry ingredients to flour, work it hard, melt yeast cake in warm water. Add sour milk then melted yeast cake. Pour into dough.
Cut out with biscuit cutter and fold over into pocket book rolls, let rise about 60 minutes, bake in oven 425 degrees.
