Cheese Tea Biscuits

List of Ingredients
2 cups sifted flour
4 tsp baking powder
dash salt
1/8 pound butter
1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp chopped rosemary or crushed dried
sesame seeds
Recipe
Sift together the flour, baking powder and
salt. Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter or
rub in with your fingers til crumbly. Stir in egg
and milk. Add the rosemary and blend lightly.
Place on counter, and gently knead once or
twice then roll dough out about 1/4 inch thick.
Cut into 1 or 2 inch rounds. Brush with
melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 10 minutes
or until lightly golden.
Makes 12-24 depending on the size.
