Mayo-Parmesan Bread
List of Ingredients
1-pound loaf of Italian or French bread, unsliced
1/4 cup grated Parmesan, or finely shredded
1/4 cup salad dressing or mayonnaise
1 Tbs snipped fresh or frozen chives
1 clove pressed garlic or 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Recipe
Preheat broiler. Slice bread crosswise in half. Reserve on half. Cut remaining half lengthwise, placing pieces, cut side up, on unheated broiler rack, set aside.
Stir together cheese, mayonnaise, chives and garlic. Spread mixture on bread pieces. Broil 4 inches from heat for 3 to 4 minutes or until lightly browned. Slice.
Serves 4-5
