Green Chile Casserole
List of Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 6 or 8 oz. can Ortega green chili
9 corn tortillas
1 can cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped onion
Recipe
Brown meat and onion. Remove from head and add green chili. Put half of the mixture in a greased casserole, tear tortillas in quarters and put a layer over the meat. Be sure that they are overlapping. Cover the tortillas with 1/2 the cheese and 1/2 of the can of soup. Repeat the layers. Pour a 1/2 cup of water over all. Bake uncovered 35 minutes at 350.
Serves 6.
