    Crockpot Barbecue Pot Roast

    List of Ingredients




    2- to 3-pound roast (chuck roast works fine)
    2 Tbs vegetable oil
    1 small can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    1 Tbs packed brown sugar
    1 Tbs prepared horseradish
    1 Tbs prepared mustard
    1 Tbs dried chopped onions
    1/2 C water
    Salt and pepper

    Brown both sides of the roast in oil in a skillet or Dutch oven. Transfer the roast to the crockpot. Mix together all remaining ingredients and pour over the beef. Cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours. No carving will be required, as the beef will be very tender
