    9 1/2-inch thick slices pound cake
    24 strawberries, hulled
    3 peaches sliced
    4 oz semisweet chocolate
    2 Tbs. butter
    1 Tbs mint or orange liqueur (optional)
    1/2 cup whipping cream

    Using a 1-inch cookie cutter, cut out 18 shapes (hearts, diamonds,
    stars, circles or squares) from pound cake slices.
    Alternately thread strawberries, peaches, pound cake onto 6 skewers.
    In top of a double boiler, over hot (not boiling) water, melt
    chocolate with butter, stirring until smooth. Or, in a microwave dish,
    microwave on medium (50 percent) for 1 or 2 minutes or until melted.
    Stir until smooth. Stir in liqueur (if using).Drizzle chocolate sauce
    mixture over kabobs.

    Whip cream and serve on the side.

    Makes 6 servings
