Creole Turkey
List of Ingredients
1/4 cup minced onion
2 stalks celery, sliced
1/4 cup minced green pepper, optional
1 ½ cup water
1 can tomatoes, about 2 cups
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 tsp dry parsley flakes
dash garlic powder
dash pepper
1 bay leaf
1 Tbs. sugar
3 Tbs cornstarch
1/2 water
2 to 4 cups leftover turkey
Recipe
Saute the celery, onion and green pepper in oil untill soft. Add next 8 ingredients.Bring to boil, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in the 1/2 cup water and add to sauce, stirring till it thickens. Add meat and bring to boiling, cover and remove from heat. Let stand 10 minutes or so to meld the flavers. Serve over rice or pasta. Best if made the day before.
