    Cream of Mushroom Soup

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced
    1/4 cup chopped onions
    2 cups chicken stock
    1/4 cup butter
    4 Tbs flour -- more if needed
    1/2 tsp salt
    freshly ground black pepper
    1/8 tsp poultry seasoning
    3 cups milk

    Recipe



    In a medium saucepan, combine mushrooms, onion, and chicken stock. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, melt butter in large saucepan. Blend in flour, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning. Gradually stir in milk, using a wire whisk to prevent lumps. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until smooth and thickened as desired. Stir in mushroom/stock mixture, heat for 2-3 minutes. Serve hot.
