    Creamed Soup Substitute

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups instant nonfat dry milk
    1/4 cup instant beef or chicken bouillon
    1/2 tsp dry thyme,crushed (optional)
    1/2 tsp pepper
    1 cup cornstarch
    2 Tbs onion flakes
    1 tsp basil, crushed (optional)

    Recipe



    Combine and mix well. Store in an air tight container.

    When you need the equivalent to 1 can of cream soup, mix 1/2 cup dry soup mix with 1 and 1/2 cups water. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Use in any recipe where you would use canned cream soup.

    Cream of celery soup: add 1/4 cup of chopped celery when cooking the mix with water.

    Make without bouillon on so that it is plain and can be used it in a ham hotdish or whatever isn't poultry or beef.

    Worcestershire sauce can be added with the water.
