Savory Pork Stew

1 pound boneless pork, cut into 1 inch cubes
1 large sweet onion, chopped
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 teaspoon rosemary, crushed
2 cups water
1 pound baby carrots, large ones halved
1 green bell pepper, chopped
3 cups mushrooms, halved
1/2 cup burgundy wine or beef broth
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
Drizzle a large soup pan with a little olive oil and heat till hot. Add
the pork and cook over medium heat until browned. Stir in the
onion and cook til softened. Add the herbs and seasonings with
the water, and heat till boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer
about 1 hour or until pork is almost tender. Add the remaining
ingredients, cover and simmer about 30 minutes or until the
vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
