    This recipe came to me from my friend Pat Ryan.

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups flour
    3 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    3 or 4 tbsp sugar ( 3 for regular biscuits, 4 for breakfast or shortcake biscuits)
    4 tbsp butter

    Recipe



    Using your fingers or a pastry blender, mix the dry ingredients and butter til mixture resembles cornmeal

    Add about 2/3 cup milk or til gently mixing the dry ingredients come together.

    Now you can drop from a spoon onto a sprayed (or parchment lined)cookie sheet and bake for drop biscuits, or turn out onto a floured surface and knead lightly for 4 or 5 turns and cut with a biscuit cutter.

    Bake 350 for about 12-15 minutes or til light golden brown.

    Want a super breakfast treat? After kneading lightly, roll out into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick--spread with jam or cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll up jelly roll style and slice into 1/2 slices.

    Bake

    Eat while warm.
