Lemony Sweet Tea Vodka

List of Ingredients

6 cups vodka
6 black tea bags
2 cups simple syrup (recipe below)
2 large, juicy lemons


Recipe

Pour 3 cups of vodka into each of 2 (1-quart) Mason jars.

Add 3 tea bags to each jar and screw the lids on tight and allow vodka to sit undisturbed for one hour.

Remove the tea bags (make sure to squeeze out all of the vodka back into the jar when you remove the tea bags!).

Add one cup of simple syrup into each jar along with the juice of one lemon to each jar and screw the lids back onto jars and give them a good shake.

The vodka will keep up to a year in a cool, dark place. (I would keep in the refrigerator)


SIMPLE SYRUP:

2 CUPS SUGAR
2 CUPS WATER

Put sugar and water in saucepan.
Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
Remove from heat and cool completely before using in your favorite cocktails.

(Will keep for months in the refrigerator)
