Recipe Introduction
Self-rising flour is nothing more than all-purpose
flour with baking powder and salt added.
To make your own, put 1 1/2
teaspoons (7 ml) baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) salt in a
measuring cup. Fill the cup with all-purpose flour and level it off
with the blade of a knife. Repeat for every cup of self-rising flour
desired.
