Recipe Introduction
This should be made a day before you want to serve it.
List of Ingredients
- 1 and 1/3 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4-6 Tablespoons butter (enough moisten graham crumbs)
- 5 8oz pkgs cream cheese
- 1 and 3/4 cup sugar
- 7 eggs (5 eggs and 2 yolks)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 HEAPING Tablespoons Flour
- 1 small box heavy whipping cream (half pint)
Instructions
- Heat oven to 500 degrees
- Butter sides and bottom of springform pan
- In a small bowl,combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter (enough to moisten crumbs). Toss with fork till blended.
- Press crumbs into bottom only of pan.
- In large mixing bowl mix 5pkgs. cream cheese 5min or till light and fluffy.
- Add sugar gradually and mix till blended.
- Add each egg and yolk separately, beating each one for a minute before adding the next.
- Add vanilla and flour...beat till there are no lumps.
- Fold in heavy cream with a wire wisk.
- Pour mixture into pan.
- Bake 10 minutes at 500 degrees. DO NOT OPEN OVEN!
- Lower temp to 200 degrees and bake for an additional 1 1/2 hrs. Again...don't open the oven.
- Turn off the oven, but leave the cake in for 1 more hour. Remember...oven door stays closed.
- Set on the counter for 30 minutes.
- With a thin knife loosen the edges and open pan.
- Chill overnight.
