2/3 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
2 yolks
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 tsp. Salt
1-1/2 c. flour
Recipe
Cream together butter and sugar. Mix in egg yolks and vanilla. Sift together salt and flour and mix until combines. Roll dough into small balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. With thumb, press down in center of each cookie to form a dent. Fill with raspberry or apricot preserves. Bake at 350 for 10-15 min or until just slightly brown on edges. Do not overfill with preserves.
For a little more elegant cookie, after rolling into ball, dip cookie into egg whites and roll in chopped nuts, then fill with preserves.
