    1-1/2 c. flour
    4 tsp. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 T. instant coffee
    2 T. warm water
    1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

    Recipe



    Combine dry flour, cocoa, soda and salt in small bowl. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine coffee and water in small bowl; stir until coffee is dissolved. Add to sugar mixture; mix well. Gradually mix in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 min. or until edges are crisp at 350.
