Recipe Introduction
The sauce/glaze this makes is absolutely the best! It would be great to use on pork chops or even a whole pork loin/roast.
List of Ingredients
½ cup flour
1 tsp salt
½ tsp cayenne pepper
1 broiler-fryer chicken, about 3 lbs, cut up (I used boneless breasts)
½ cup butter, melted & divided
¼ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup honey
¼ cup lemonjuice
1 T soy sauce
1 tsp curry powder (I omitted this)Recipe
In a bowl or a bag, combine the flour, salt and cayenne. Add the chicken pieces and dredge or shake to coat. Pour 4 T of the melted butter into a 13 x 9 baking pan, place the chicken in the pan and turn to coat in the butter. Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine the brown sugar, honey, lemon juice, and soy sauce and remaining melted butter (I popped this in the microwave for a few seconds to melt and combine). Pour over the chicken and bake another 30-45 minutes, basting several times with the pan drippings, until chicken is done.
(Since I used boneless breasts, the cooking time wasn’t as long – I cooked it for 30 minutes, then poured on the sauce and baked for only another 15-20 minutes or so, until nicely caramelized.)
