    Recipe Introduction

All the yumminess of stuffed cabbage, but with a lot less work!

    List of Ingredients

1 lb of ground beef, Italian sausage, or pork sausage
1/2 cup chopped onion (one small or 1/2 a medium onion)
    2 stalks of celery, sliced
3-4 cups of chopped cabbage (in a pinch you could used packaged coleslaw)
1 quart of diced stewed tomatoes
1 12 oz can of chicken broth
1 pkg of chicken or beef flavored Rice-A-Rooni
    few splashes of Worcestershire sauce
    few shakes of black pepper

    Recipe

In a large skillet, brown up the ground beef or sausage along with the onions and celery. When the meat has lost its pink color, stir in the tomatoes and chicken broth; bring to a boil. Stir in the chopped cabbage and the rice mix, along with the seasoning packet that comes with it. Add the other seasonings, stir everything well, and bring back to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the rice is tender.

Note: The cabbage will be tender-crisp, not mushy. If you prefer your cabbage to be softer, simmer the cabbage for about 5 minutes before adding the rice. Or, slice the cabbage finely rather than dice/chop. If you're using packaged coleslaw, it will cook down faster and will be softer than if you use fresh chopped cabbage (because coleslaw is cut more finely).
