3 10-oz. pkgs. frozen, cut green beans
2 10½-oz. cans cheddar cheese soup
1/2 cup water
1/4cup chopped green onions
4-oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
8-oz. can water chestnuts, drained and sliced, optional
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Recipe
Combine all ingredients in lightly greased slow cooker. Mix well. Cover. Cook on Low 8-10 hours, or on High 3-4 hours.
Notes: I think for tradition, I'd use one can of cheddar cheese soup, and one can of cream of mushroom. Also would keep the French's crispy onions from the original!
