Recipe Introduction
As our topic this week is Transformation, it is fun to note that Brigid's Fire was symbolic of Transformation...so the act of baking and turning wheat into Bread honors "The Maiden." For Imbolc, Brigid's season anything round, or involving honey, is appropriate to symbolize the return of the sun and warmer weather. Pancakes and waffles with thick cream are still a Swedish Imbolc tradition.
