Strawberry Banana Split Cake
1 yellow cake mix made according to
directions.
Use half the batter for this cake and the
rest for cup cakes or whatever you like.
FILLING:
1/2 cup butter or margarine -- softened
2 cups confectioners sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 large firm bananas -- cut into 1/4- (3 to 4)
1 inch slices
2 quarts fresh strawberries -- sliced
TOPPING
2 cups whipping cream
1/4 cup confectioner's sugar
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
Recipe
Pour half the batter into a 9x13 pan.
Bake and cool.
In a mixing bowl, cream butter, confectioner's sugar, milk and vanilla.
Spread this over cake and layer with bananas, and strawberries.
In a small mixing bowl, beat ceam until soft peaks form. Add
confectioner's sugar; beat until stiff peaks form.
Spread over fruit. Top with a few more strawberries I just cut them in half. Sprinkle with nuts.
Make swirls on top with Hershey's chocolate.
Chill until serving
Yield: 12-15 servings.
