Apple Pecan Cobbler
1/2 cup butter, melted
8 cups sliced Granny Smith apples, about 4 apples
3 T. Fresh lemon juice
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 t. Ground cinnamon
1/2 t. Ground nutmeg
2 cups self rising flour
2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350. Pour melted butter into a 13 x 9 inch baking dish. In large bowl, mix apples and lemon juice; toss gently to coat. In small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix brown sugar mixture with apples; toss gently to coat. In medium bowl, mix flour, milk and sugar, whisking until smooth. Pour flour mixture over melted butter. Top evenly with apples and brown sugar mixture. Bake for 25 minutes. Top with pecans, and bake for 5 t o 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Serves 10 to 12
