    Great cookie to serve with tea.

    List of Ingredients




    Vermont Maple Snaps


    1/2 cup butter
    2 cups sugar
    1 cup maple syrup
    3 cups flour
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 cup cold water

    Recipe





    Cream shortening and sugar, then add maple
    syrup and beat well. Sift flour with dry ingredients
    and add to make syrup mixture alternately with
    water. Mix well and drop by teaspoonfuls on
    greased cookie sheet. Bake in 375 degree oven
    about 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool
    before removing from cookie sheet.
